In Week 21 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague regular season, Fenerbahçe Beko will visit Asvel at Astroballe on Thursday, January 26.

 

Some losses of Fenerbahçe, which have been the favourites of the EuroLeague since the beginning of the season, made us think that they have some self-confidence problems. But they made their fans and basketball lovers happy with their recent victories. The Turkish team hosted Monaco last week and emerged as winners from a tough challenge.

Fenerbahce Beko took the lead at first, but Monaco equalised the score 84-84 in the last seconds, and the extra time started.  While the defence line of both sides did quite well in the extra time, Fenerbahçe didn’t upset their fans at their home court and won the game 98-94.

 

In Fenerbahçe Beko, Scottie Wilbekin was the top scorer with 21 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists. Johnatan Motley made 17 points and 8 rebounds; Nigel Hayes-Davis made 18 points and 7 rebounds; Nick Calathes produced 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 7 assists, and Marko Guduric had 16 points and 6 rebounds.

 

With the Monaco victory, Fenerbahçe made a 3-game winning streak. In total, they have 13 wins.

 

Meanwhile, Asvel were the guests of Olimpia Milano for the Week 20 game. Asvel left the court with a victory, making their total number of wins 7.
