Starting the new season in the Premier League with a Manchester City victory, Tottenham defeated Wolverhampton with a 1-0 score in the second week. While Tottenham coach Nuno Espirito Santo defeated his former team Wolverhampton, Harry Kane, whose name has been mentioned in transfer rumors lately, was on the field in the last eighteen minutes of the game.

Tottenham won the first two games in the league by a score of 1-0, but the advantage they keep providing to their opponents on the field is very likely to create a problem for them in the coming weeks. Tottenham gave their opponent exactly twenty-five shooting opportunities in the last Wolver match and needs to give up this philosophy of leaving the ball to the rival team as soon as possible. In the meantime, let’s not forget to mention that Tottenham played a Europa match last week. The British team, who faced their opponent with a squad comprised of substitute players, for the most part, left the field with a 1-0 defeat. They will try again for a new chance at the second leg of the playoff that will take place at Tottenham home.

In the third week of the league, their opponent will be Watford. The Tottenham-Watford match, scheduled for Sunday, August 29, is one of those matches for which all football fans are excitedly waiting. Watford lost 2-0 to Brighton away in the first week, but in the second week, they defeated Crystal Palace 1-0 and moved to the eleventh place in the standings with one loss and one win. When we look at Watford's two-week game mentality, we can see that they are on the field with a philosophy that allows their opponent to possess the ball. Considering that both teams will be on the field in a controlled manner, it is possible to say that we will watch a midfield football. However, Harry Kane has returned to the game in the last match, and the possibility of him being in the squad for this fixture may shake Watford’s defense quite a bit. Even though Tottenham coach Nuno Santo has said “he still has a long way to go” every minute passing without having the advantage of score strengthens the possibility of Harry entering the game.

In England, in the cradle of football, we watched amazing games in the first two weeks, and it seems like this won’t change the third week, either.  Although Tottenham's matches haven’t been high-score games since the beginning of the season, we cannot deny that the game they played on the field was a pleasure to watch. We don't expect a high score from the Watford match, but we are sure it will be a feast for the spectators. We can’t wait for Sunday.
