In Round 22 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, Fenerbahçe Beko will host Olympiacos at Fenerbahçe Ülker Sports and Event Hall on the evening of January 31st. 

 

Last week, Fenerbahce Beko visited Asvel. After consecutive victories, Fenerbahçe left the game defeated.

 

Asvel, which started the match quite effectively, went ahead 9-0 in the first two minutes. Having problems in their defence, Fenerbahçe finished the first quarter 25-12 behind.  In the first minutes of the second quarter, Fenerbahçe Beko started to reduce the gap to single digits, but towards the end, Asvel took the lead, increasing the gap to 15 and closing the first half of the game 48-33. In the third quarter, Fenerbahçe tried to build a solid defence, but their efforts weren’t fruitful, and Asvel maintained their superiority, entering the last quarter 71-55. Asvel started the last quarter with a powerful attack, while the defence line of Fenerbahçe stayed ineffective. The game ended 91-77, with the victory of Asvel.

 

Carsen Edwards was the top scorer against Asvel in Fenerbahçe Beko. Edwards had 22 points, 1 rebound, and 3 assists. Nigel Hayes-Davis made 12 points and 5 rebounds; Johnathan Motley, had 9 points and 1 assist; Scottie Wilbekin had 10 points and 2 rebounds, and Devin Booker had 8 points and 1 rebound.

 

With their defeat against Avel, Fenerbahçe have 13 wins and 8 losses in the standings.

 

Meanwhile, Olympiacos hosted Tel Aviv in their last match. With the advantage of playing at home court, Olympiacos won the game 95-89.
