A Spectacular Match in Italy!

Italian Serie A hosted a wonderful game on Saturday evening. In the 6th week of the league, the match between Inter and Atalanta ended in a 2-2 draw.

The host Inter took a 1-0 lead with Martinez in the 5th minute, almost right after the kickoff, but finished the first half with a 1-2 defeat after Atalanta flipped the game on its head by increasing the tempo and finding 2 goals in a row as a result. Even though Inter entered the second half with more enthusiasm, it took them some time to find the back of the net. When the clocks showed minute 70 in Giuseppe Meazza, Dzeko scored and leveled the game for Inter. We can say that when the last minute of the game was fast approaching, Inter also had the opportunity to take the lead of the match and maybe to leave the pitch with three points. The host was awarded a penalty in the 86th minute, but Dimarco missed the shot and the opportunity.

The ball possession ratios of the teams were close to each other, almost throughout the match. On the other hand, Inter managed 19 shots (6 of them on target), and Atalanta 22 shots (5 on target) while each team hit the post once.

After giving us a football feast, the two teams are now focused on the Champions League matches they will play this week. Atalanta will host Young Boys on September 29 and Inter will play Shakhtar away game on September 28. As you may remember, this season, Inter started the Champions League with the Real Madrid match played at home.
